⚽ Birmingham – Huddersfield Predictions

Birmingham – Huddersfield Tips and Odds. February 26, 16:00 ENGLAND: CHAMPIONSHIP.

Birmingham – Huddersfield Preview

  • It looks like it’s going to be another mid-table Championship finish for Birmingham City as a 2-1 defeat at struggling Reading in midweek extended their run to just one league win across their last seven outings (D3, L3). A return home to St Andrew’s will likely be welcomed then for this visit of promotion-chasing Huddersfield Town, as Birmingham have lost just three of their last ten home league matches (W5, D2).
  • Four of those five home victories saw the ‘Blues’ net two or more goals, whilst overall, Lee Bowyer’s side have been kept off the scoresheet in just four of their 16 Championship home games so far. A lack of consistency has still cursed Birmingham on home soil though, as here they’ll be looking for just their second set of back-to-back home league victories of the campaign after beating Luton 3-0 in their last fixture here.
  • A last-gasp 96th minute winner saw Huddersfield steal all three points from Cardiff City on Wednesday as the Terriers’ push for a return to the Premier League continues at full-force. They now begin this matchday in fourth spot thanks to a current 14-match unbeaten run in this competition (W7, D7).
  • Huddersfield have proven a force on the road all season as well, and remain unbeaten across their last seven away league matches (W4, D3) – the club’s longest such unbeaten run at this level since April 1964! They’ve also won four of their last seven away league clashes with Birmingham (D1, L2) so will be hoping to avoid a repeat of their 2-1 loss here last campaign.
  • Players to watch: Birmingham’s Lyle Taylor has struck in both of his home outings for the club, but he’s never faced a side more often than Huddersfield without finding the net (six appearances)! Meanwhile, Josh Koroma netted last time out and three of his five competitive goals this season have arrived during away victories.
  • Hot stat: Huddersfield have scored in eight of their past nine away H2Hs.
