• Of the quartet of Dutch sides still in the Europa Conference League (UECL), Feyenoord are undoubtedly best-placed to reach the quarter-final after a domineering 5-2 victory in the first-leg of this ‘Round of 16’ tie away to Partizan Belgrade. The omens are good for the hosts, as this season is the 20-year anniversary of the last time that Feyenoord reached a European quarter-final, when winning the UEFA Cup in 2001/02!
• Following up the reverse win with a 2-1 victory in Eredivisie action over the weekend, Feyenoord remain in the hunt for a top-two domestic finish as well as European glory. • Players to watch: A standout performance from Feyenoord’s Luis Sinisterra in the reverse (G1, A2) saw him claim UEFA’s ‘UECL goal of the week’ award, whilst former Ajax man Queensy Menig assisted to put Partizan ahead in the reverse – six of his eight scoring games this season saw him net the opener.
